Sketch Challenges!

Happy Sunday everyone! I've got a slew of cards to share so let's get to it. I'll go in chronological order , dating back to the July 4th MidWeek Throwdown (Anniversary cards) after sharing today's Sketch Challenge card, Sketch #129.

"And I will love you soooo, for always"

Below is my MWT from about two weeks ago...
July 4th Anniversary MWT

As you can tell, I am still in love with the DCWV Black Currant stack. This was made from scraps inspired by the scrappy backgrounds tutorial on the OWH website. I think this is one of the most common ways I use scraps (except for those pinwheels).

Next up is Sketch #128...

The die-cut leaves are from Cricut's Potpourri Basket cart and I made the vertical strips with the Autumn leaf stamp I got last week. This was my first shot at making "patterned" paper with stamps and I'm pleased, although I'm not sure the style of the stamp is all that in tune with that of the die-cuts. Still, I'm pleased with it overall.

Last week's MWT called for cold weather cards to get us started on the busy season. I used Sketch #57.

I used some pretty paper from DCWV's Winter Magic mat stack. The papers are much thinner than I usually buy but the pack was only a few bucks and had a ton of variety in different shades of blue. So pretty! I originally intended for those purple squares to be a dark blue to match either the DP or the snowflake (Cricut's Potpourri Basket cart again) but it didn't match well at all. The snowflake brad is from the Christmas in June swap we had on FB's Scrap to Treasure group last month. (We're doing one for Autumn/Thanksgiving right now. If you're not a member but want to participate, leave a comment and I'll invite you to the group.) I made three of the next card with the dark blue squares I had left over from these snowflake cards.

Sticking with my goal of using each OWH Sketch at least once this year, I also checked off a few older sketches this week.

Sketch #31  LOVE this stamp!
Sketch #66 Gotta use those summer scraps before time runs out
This uses a stamp and a butterfly from fellow OWH'ers, Raeanna (I think) and Fabiola, respectively. Love swapping supplies! I think I'll send one of these to my BFF. We don't get to hang out as much as we used to.

I have an itch to make more so I'm outta here. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
