My Faaavorites!

**I thought I had posted this LAST WEEKEND but I just found it in my drafts. ACK!**

Today's post is full of love. I've been working a lot lately (not complaining!) but that means I have less free time to devote to OWH than I had in the past. Still, I was able to make about 20 cards and stamp, line, and tuck about 40 cards last weekend. Now let's see if I can remember any of the details for the following cards lol...

This is my first card for Sandy's Interactive Cardmaking Project. I started with CB... hmmm.. I lost it. Well, the final card on the ICP was the one with the coffee cup and Sandy added really cute ribbon bows as the embellishments on the bottom right. I didn't have a good color of ribbon to match this card, so I ended up using these little jewels I got from my Secret Santa on the Scrap to Treasure board on FB. The pink paper is embossed with little hearts (also from a swap on S2T). Thanks again Santy :)

Next are 3 love cards made from a 6x6 MME Lost and Found: Union Square pad that I'm mourning the loss of (only have 2 pages left... guess I'm have to get more hehe). These are for the Love/Hugs MWT on the 5th... wow I'm so backed up. This one is my faaavorite; I'm getting more and more comfortable mixing stamp sets. The sentiment is heat embossed and the white paper it's on is distressed with a golden yellow from a Colorbox palette with a cotton ball.

Sketch #2 without the ribbon
This one is my faaavorite too because I problem solved sucessfully. I embossed myself into a corner after committing to this pink DP from DCWV's Sweet Stack. I was making two of these and the other one had a yellow flower embossed card front (where this one is white), and I didn't notice my mistake until after I had heat embossed two of these yellow hearts. Problem solved: layer with yellow! I can't find the sketch hmmm...

Also from MME's Union Square pad, this is my faaavorite because of the swirlies that were already on the corner of the paper; I just had to add a few hearts. I think the stamp is perfect for this paper.

Sketch #138
This one is my faaavorite because of the Sentiment. Oh, I would swoooooon if my man sent this to me while he was away for so long. Also distressed with the golden yellow ink on a cotton ball.

Bonus sketch
*Footnote: When my picky-eating kids visited my folks out in MT a few summers back, my dad came up with a funny way to try to get them to eat new foods. "What's for dinner, dear?" he'd ask my mom. She'd say whatever it was, and he'd reply, "Ooooh, that's my faaavorite!!" It didn't get the the kids to eat more adventurously, but it's now a family joke. I like to think it's a reminder to see only the best in something your given and appreciate just being able to have it.

Sorry this is so late - later than late even. Hope your last week before Christmas is a good one!
